Fishing, Fun, Family, Etc.

We were up at the cabin for Memorial Day weekend. This was the most happiest weekend for Evelyn who had been talking about fishing and 'her' cabin for WEEKS. I was so happy that she wasn't phased in the least by the fish, and its blood and guts. It was like, 'yep, that's a huge juicy worm being skewered on a hook and it's guts are squishing out. yep, that's the fishs' blood. yep, that's its guts, and now it's all cut up.' And did I mention that going for a boat ride is the funnest thing ever? Unless you count daddy driving the 4-wheeler as fast as it can go with some serious precious cargo (me and Evelyn). I kept thinking she would be scared because her daddy was driving like a maniac (love him), but whenever I would look at her face she was smiling away, and sometimes even screaming her head-off, in-sinc with dad. Good times.

She's smiling away here, in full winter apparel. Yes, it snowed.
"Evelyn! Levi!" (Click)

Don't even tell me that you don't want to squish her.
Evelyn was helping Derek drive the boat, that was very important.
Earlier in the day... I caught this fish! It was pretty big.

Love love love!

Curly Top

Just thought you might like to share in the joy of what I get to look at every day. These curls!

Don't Worry, It's Benign

Okay, the other day I was just walking through the living room, doing what I do, and saw something strange in the back yard. Quite frankly, if frightened me. Upon closer inspection, I saw a huge mound of grass in the yard which had previously been flat. What the heck?! I had heard of this sort of thing happening, but never witnessed it. Lucky for me, I was able to explore this little mound of joy. I was laughing so hard. Evelyn and I went to check it out. A water line (or something like that) had a leak, and so this was water building up under the grass. We were jiggling it like a bowl full of jelly, and for some reason I just thought this was too much. I couldn't stop laughing as we were looking and touching it. Evelyn was even walking over it. Although it wasn't a good thing to have a leak, Derek fixed it right up and now all is well, and flat.

Life Is So Freakin' Good Right Now

I've got a whole long list of expressions that I could use to explain how my life is right now. Most of them would knock the socks right off of some of you tender eared folks. So I'll just let my Post Title do the talking. Life is Good!!! Ahhh... most days as I'm getting in bed I think to myself, 'today rocked.' And if any of you are a Grumpy Gene out there, let me explain to you why my life is good and rocks. There was a recent Ensign article about Enduring Well, and a smart man (Derek) once told me something along the lines of, 'make a decision and be happy with it.' And in there somewhere else was, 'you choose how you feel, so choose to be happy.' And then there was something like, 'only focus on the good stuff, and lift it up, and don't re-live the crappy stuff.' And ya know what else? If someone gives you advice TAKE IT! And since you're still here reading, take my advice about taking advice-I'm struggling with folks who want advice but won't do it because it's not easy. You want your life to be better? Do it.

Where was I? Oh yes, my girls are growing and cute. I took this pic of Gwen recently because I LOVE when she sits like this. She does this all the time, and is one of her favorite positions.
This picture I took about 20 minutes ago, which prompted me to post. If you look hard, you'll find a cute little two year old somewhere in there.

Where is the farmer?

A few nights ago Derek wanted to take us girls and show us something on the farm. As we were driving there we must have been talking about 'the farm' and Evelyn asked us, 'where are the farm animals?' There are some horses in the corals right now so we told her we can go look at them. Then she asked, 'where is the farmer?' Derek and I looked at each other and told her that daddy is the farmer. She looked confused and said, 'No, where is the FARMER?' As if we'd mis-heard her. I still don't know if she knows that daddy is a farmer, or that you can be a farmer without having a cow, pig, duck, rabbit, etc.
We rode with Derek in the tractor today, and it was so fun. I could ride with him all day, I love it. Especially when I'm not pregnant (I'm not). So I'm all excited about spring planting and all that fun stuff. Proud to Farm!

9 Months/Easter Dresses

I am just obsessed with these two. I found out a few weeks ago what seeing them in matching dresses does to me. I couldn't stop looking at them and laughing with delight every time I saw their cute little bodies in matching dresses. It is definately something I've always looked forward to, but I couldn't find a reason to get them matching dressed until recently. Plus, they didn't make baby sizes to match toddler sizes any time I looked. The point is that I practically gush over them when they match. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Lady Gaga.
Even though Gwen has bed head in this picture, I love it because she makes this face a lot where she'll lift up her cheeks to squint her eyes.

Nine month picture, she looks like she's ready to walk out of that chair.

Isn't this precious?? Sweet, sweet, sisters, just love to be close to each other. Ha ha, ya right. You can't even see that they're matching. You'll just have to take my word for it.

EASTER!

Easter was so much fun this year, we were so busy the whole weekend and it was tons of fun for all of us. Here is a cutie picture of the girls with some eggs.
Blue mouthed baby.
