Got Sunscreen?

Sometimes I know Evelyn is up to something and I just don't do anything about it because I'm getting something done. That sounds terrible. Yesterday was Dereks birthday and I was making his cake and cleaning the kitchen. I could hear her in the bathroom, and knew she was up to something, but I was on a roll. Welp, as I'm walking up the stairs to check on her I heard her say 'lotion' and assumed the worst. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad, she had unscrewed the top off her sunscreen and was applying it onto her entire body. One area that received the most attention was her upper lip for some reason. I mostly thought this was funny because no harm was done, and the sunscreen smells really good.

As a side note, she has an infatuation with her fish bows. After I fix her hair lately she always asks for them. So instead of trading them for the ones I've already put in, I just add them to the mix and sneak them out at some point during the day.

Smiley Susan

Gwen is SO smiley. She's always been a happy smiley baby. I had to take some pics to remember her cute smiley face.

Here is her happy smile.
She does this a lot, she gets so happy and excited that she starts squirming. It's hilarious.

Here she is looking at her momma. She loves me. Love me, love me.

Grass Update

Grass has never been this exciting. I think Frank sprayed it about six or seven weeks ago, and we're able to walk on it now. It's so fun to go put a blanket down on grass, it's not dusty, and it's nice and cool and so SOFT. I've felt so proud of our grass until our neighbors just brought in some sod, it put a damper on my joy. I'm kidding, it was funny. We've been waiting, and waiting and now they have an insta-lawn all in one day. Anyway, here's is some pics of us outside, it was getting dark. Derek and I have thrown bed time out the window. Evelyn is a regular party animal. Once Gwen starts going to bed earlier then maybe we'll be motivated to put Evelyn to bed earlier too. Until then...

Evelyn likes strollers, pushing, riding, anything.
Poor Gweners got her first bug bite! It was the saddest! Ev and Derek got bit also, they were little black bugs that looked like gnats. It was so weird. Anyway, moving on.

Here is a good shot of our lawn. It's looking so lush!

Buddies

Hello all. When I get Evelyn up from her nap I usually come in with Gwen aka: little sister. I laid Gwen with Evelyn once and now every time Evelyn asks for me to lay Gwen with her and then she asks for the camera. She is so good to Gwen! She is so soft with her and is always sharing her prized possessions like her blanket. And yes, that is a fish pillow in her crib. She's getting a big girl pillow for her birthday in less than two weeks! Exciting!

Grain

All summer I've been waiting for the grain to turn golden so we could get some family pictures taken by my father-in-law. It kind of snuck up on me, all of a sudden Derek was talking about grain harvest. So a few days ago we crinkled through the field for a few pictures. These are some of my favorites.

Evelyn really enjoyed this photo shoot, and she really liked riding in Ta-ta Reeds truck. Love this, she reminds me of some little wildlife creature.

Favorite family picture, even though Evelyns smile isn't the best.

What do you think? Is this pose cheesy? I asked for it, but I can't decide if it's a bit much.
Proud to Farm!!!

Sprinklers Fun? Sprinklers Fun!

It took some convincing, but Evelyn finally agreed to run through Grandpa Reeds sprinklers with Daddy. Bryon got some good shots that make me laugh. I mostly just love pictures of my main loves, Derek and my kids.

Twins

I was so startled after I got Gwen ready for church on Sunday, she looked so much like Evelyn. I brought her in to show Derek and he agreed. We had pictures of Ev in the exact same outfit, at about the same age, so we whipped it out and took so twinsies shots. See for yourself:
This is, apparently, the Derek Reeds' childrens' mold. Not much Christi involved. Ha ha, I love 'em.
