And Counting...

Hello! Less that sixty days to go! Don't let the picture on my sidebar fool you, there is NOT that much room inside for her to float around in.

Crisis Averted

Jamies mother-in-law, Trudy, is fantastic. Last night we had a birthday party for Frank and I showed her the fabric swatch. Can you believe that she actually already had some of that exact fabric?! She is going with me on Thursday to buy some of it and help match other fabrics to it. I am so glad I talked to her about it. She pretty much saved my life.

Where Do I Find This That I Love?

So I just found this new background and I LOVE IT! I'm not sure where this bird obsession comes from, but I have an idea. I've been loving these cute little birdies, and decided a while back that Gwens room will be birds. My plan is finally in motion with vinyl birds coming my way to put on her walls (I'll post pics. when I get them). I've been looking for bird fabric to make her a quilt for her crib, and other accessories. Well, I've found the fabric but I'm unsure of the best online store to buy it from. I think it's beautiful! It's just what I wanted, too. It is made by Alexander Henry and is called, 'Starling.' I've never bought fabric online but I'm pretty sure that the stores here in Idaho Falls don't carry something this cute. Where should I buy it at? Any suggestions? I know this is a broad question, but I'm hoping that someone out there knows of a place that has everything for a great price. All the placed I've looked sell this for $9/yard plus $2/shipping per yard. Does that seem a bit exorbitant to anyone else? Please help me to continue my obsession.

True Easter

Alright, I'll start by saying that being a parent is so much fun. I feel like I could write that every day. We decorated eggs with Evelyn on Easter morning. It was a hoot, she would just drop the eggs in the dye. Then she figured out that the eggs actually crack and tried to eat the shell. It is really odd to me that EVERYTHING is new to her, and therefore, fun.

This picture makes me laugh because this is her new smile. She now knows what a smile is and puts (too much?) effort into it.
Blue lips, after tasting the shell.

I thought this was her best egg.
Of course, a sticker must go on the face, I had one on my nose as well, but ya know, the whole swollen face thing.
Here are the happy finished products, Evelyn is trying to figure out her 'bracelet' aka the paper things that you rest the eggs in.
Notice the cracked eggs?

Just Excited

I have less than 80 days to go until I have my baby!

Evelyns Eirst Easter Egg Extravaganza!

For those of you who don't know, Swan Valley has a huge Easter Egg hunt every year. Alright, it may not be huge, but it was pretty big. Evelyn and I drove there last Saturday with high hopes of filling up her Easter Basket (grocery sack) full of eggs (for mommy) to eat. It took a while for her to figure out what was going on, but with a little help from Jamie she was a pro.

Jamie helped her pick up her eggs, and fight off the other kids. PS- I can not squat like that, I was happy to take pictures while Jamie helped. Professional egg hunter:

Faye was a pro as well.
Here she is showing off her loot.

Happy Early Easter!

Yard Work

Happy Spring! It was so exciting when all the snow melted in our yard a few weeks ago. We did, however, find some surprises that were lurking underneath it all. We had a few piles of cement poured onto the yard, piles of scrap lumber, and just junk overall. It was driving me nuts to look outside at it all, and Derek told me to wait until the all the snow melted before we removed everything. I think these pictures were taken the Saturday following the 'big melt.'

Bryon came over with some dirt and helped get rid of all the junk. Here they are removing cement, and you can see on the very left is more cement, it was a little ridiculous how much there was.
Evelyn and I helped out by sitting on the back steps cheering Derek on.

Then she decided that she needed to ride on the tractor and she was so happy. She is such a farmers daughter.

I don't have any 'after' pictures, and yes, I know I could go take one right now. I'll just tell you that it looks great now, all clean and even. Next job, sprinklers...
