Snow-Mo-Building

This winter has been so fun for my little family. Evelyn and I have really come to appreciate snowmobiling, or snow-mo-building. Ecstatic... that pretty much sums up how Derek feels about that. Evelyn isn't as good as me yet, but she's getting there. She is always asking daddy if we can go to 'her cabin' and ride 'her snow-mo-building.' We haven't been to the cabin for a couple weeks so Derek took her out to ride in the field by the shop.

Here they are, all ready to go. They are especially excited to be wearing matching BYU hats.
Down by the shop... where the watermelons grow... back to my home... Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

More of The Same

I Thought Only Dogs Did That

I took this picture 5 minutes ago. She's still doing the same thing. I was on the computer and she was (I thought) just hanging out by me. I look over and she got into the garbage! I said "Gweners!" and she looked up at me with this totally mischievous grin.

I Love A Good Reward

Why am I so happy? Because I have been doing alot of this:
So I can get this:

I love to vacation SOOOOO much! I wish every penny could be spent on it. The bitter sweet part of this is Derek thinks that is unwise. We went on a cruise a few years ago and it was the BEST time of BOTH of our lives! I'm working 2 hrs. a week for a sweet, sweet reward in exactly one year. Let the countdown begin!

Just Spreadin' the Love

Well, I decided that Evelyn needed her day in the spotlight. It was awesome, she really got excited when I told her it was her turn for pictures.

These two were really good together for pictures, and Evelyn held onto sister really well.
Cute hair! I'm loving this style!

7 Months

Another month has come and gone. I can honestly say that I'm starting to feel sane! Hurray! I'm making dinner and my house is staying clean and we get dressed and hair fixed on most days. The other day I was fixing Evelyns hair and she asked me where we were going. The main thing that has returned is my DESIRE to do all those things. I WANT to fix my girls hair, I WANT to clean out a closet, I WANT to make something yummy for dinner. Anyway, props to me.
Back to the task at hand here, Gwen is 7 months old and doing well. She is a total mommas girl right now and ALWAYS wants to be held. My wrists are killing me by the end of the day! Evelyn helped me so much for these pictures. She moved the heater and clock that are normally by this wall, and brought over both of their chairs to sit in. She is so sweet and such a good helper. Evelyn has also been really into pictures lately, she pretends that she's taking pictures of Gwen and I with her play phone and says, 'cheese'. So she's smiling really good in these pictures.
Here is the favorite 7 mo. old pic.
Both girls in their chairs

Cute, happy, smiley baby.

She Did It!

I know you're all applauding right now because you know what I'm talking about. Evelyn went #2 on the potty last night all by herself! We started almost exactly one month ago. After three accidents (pee) on the carpet she hasn't had a water-pee-pee (as we call it) accident since. The #2 has been a different story. It hasn't been too messy because her underwear, then pull-ups, then diapers (which is what I reverted to since she was pooing in them) has caught everything. Last night after she was in bed she wanted to get out of bed and go potty. I was rolling my eyes like, 'you don't need to go potty, you just want to get out of bed.' I told her to go potty then go to bed. She normally wants me to go in with her, but I just went back to what I was doing and left her alone in the bathroom. A few minutes later she told me she needed help, and when I came into the bathroom I saw heaven in the potty. I'm serious, I wish I had a camera on my face because I probably looked like one of those people who open their door and see the Publishers Clearing House on their front step. She got some serious praise and a 'big treat'. I didn't think I would ever send my child to bed with candy, but we did. I'm so happy. I'm hoping that now I will stop smelling poo everywhere I go. I think my nose smells it so much that it doesn't know what to do when the air is clean, so it tricks my brain.
